Preparation for Industrial Safety Examination

POLATI provides comprehensive preparation of process equipment for industrial safety examination — from access provision and surface preparation to restoration after the inspection. All work is carried out according to a single schedule and under the responsibility of one contractor.

Hazardous facilities that require an industrial safety examination

POLATI specialists prepare pressure vessels, columns and reactors, heat exchangers, tanks, boilers and furnaces, and process pipelines for inspection.

The work is carried out at oil and gas, petrochemical, metallurgy and power facilities.

An industrial safety examination is required when the service life or operating life of the equipment expires, and also after a design change or restorative repair following an accident or incident. If the service life is not stated in the technical documentation, the examination is required after ten years of operation.

Our Approach

POLATI brings together all stages of equipment preparation for industrial safety examination under the responsibility of a single contractor. One project manager is responsible for the entire preparation cycle, reducing the number of approvals and the time engineering and technical staff spend coordinating the teams involved. Work is planned in accordance with the examination program and turnaround schedule.

A single integrated schedule synchronizes the work of all crews and helps prevent downtime between preparation stages. Equipment is made available to the expert organization earlier, leaving more time for the examination and rectification of identified defects. This reduces the risk of extending the turnaround period and the associated production losses.
