POLATI at the 4th International SEYMARTEC O&M Forum
On September 15–16, the 4th International SEYMARTEC Forum took place in Chelyabinsk, focusing on improving the efficiency of operations and maintenance (O&M) in the energy, mining and metallurgy, and mechanical engineering sectors.
Participants included representatives from Gazprom Neft, Gazprom, Severstal, MMK, Tatneft, Nizhnekamskneftekhim, and TMK.
David Artyunyan, Commercial Projects Manager, delivered a presentation on a comprehensive approach to safety in working at heights. A key topic was the impact of contractor productivity on repair timelines and costs. A low hourly labor rate does not always translate into savings; when factoring in associated costs, slow work speeds, and the need for rework, actual expenses can be significantly higher.
"You can implement new technologies and digital tools and improve internal process efficiency at a facility, but if the contractor isn't working on their own productivity, some of those efforts lose their point. The contractor needs to evolve alongside the client," David noted.
Vyacheslav Amosov and Yan Bystritsky also attended the forum. Over the course of two days, the POLATI team held a series of meetings with O&M managers, chief mechanical engineers, and other specialists from industrial enterprises responsible for equipment maintenance and reliability.
