In 2016, it was important to maintain that fervor and drive to make a splash in the construction industry, not remembering past failures, but keeping them in mind.

From the very beginning of 2016, negotiations were held to start work on the Lakhta Center in St. Petersburg together with the Turkish contractor Renaissance Construction. The whole team realized how complex and important this project was for the company, and most importantly, it was a long-term project, which would allow the company to start developing without constant thoughts about where to find finances and how to continue to exist. It was decided to work with a profit margin of 5%, which is very low, but it is better than sitting without work at all. Everyone remembers the saying: “First you work for your reputation, then your reputation works for you”. On May 20, 2016 POLATI Company started its first working shift at Lakhta Center.

This facility became a real test of strength. It was no time to sleep in the summer, working processes were built all day long: the directors were installers, foremen, forewomen, foremen, accountants, personnel officers, salesmen, financiers, HR service, marketing, engineering, designers, procurement, IT service, occupational health and safety, lawyers and all other departments and specialists at the same time. In the end we managed to organize all the processes correctly, and by the end of the year the company already employed about 100 people. The whole year, starting from May, was dedicated to Lakhta Center.

In the same year, no less important decision was made for the company's development: moving to the current office in Mytishchi in BC “Volkovsky” at the address: Volkovskoye Shosse, possession 5a, p. 1. 1. More and more specialists joined the team, and Maxim Scherbanev joined the company.

This year we already clearly understood the importance of automation in the company, so the first prototypes of timesheets appeared.

This year POLATI worked 142.000 man-hours, 12 projects were realized.
